The first skills post!

Hi~
This post is my first skills post. Skills post means; The post that educational(especially, about GLPS writing class.).

Two days ago, our class desided to attend to attend one of the summer camp listed below.

1. Camp Big Apple 2. Ranch West Camp 3. Head Start Splash

Well, explanation about the camp are too long so I won't going to write them.
I'll just organize about the each camps' advantage and weakness.

Camp Big Appple(CBA)
Advantage: It is three week camp, therefore we won't get homesicks. And we can also prepare fore the important English languge test like the SAT. We can trust teachers 'cause they are in Masters digrees(least). We can meet other students arround the world, too. This CBA's activities are unique. We cannot do them in Korea.
Weakness: It's too short. So maybe we can't learn English very well.

The Ranch West Camp(RWC)
Advantage: It isn't too short or too long. It will be fun ecouse the RWC believes students will learn English best when they are doing something that interests them. And we can study with more interests, 'cause we can choose subjests. And we can experience their culture from homestaying.
Weakness: Activities are too common and it can be little dangerous. (Hiking, Horseback riding, River rafting, Mountain biking, Canoeing.)

Head Start Splash(HSS)
Advantage: Family came with students. And they live in a small apartment near the beach, so the atmosphere will be great! And its long- so we can learn English more better.
Weakness: It's TOO long-five week! And it's too expensive.

Well, I choosed the CBA. And many students in our class thought so, too. Therfore, the CBA was choosed. We also learned about the compare and contrast. We must do these when we decides something. When you compares things, it's mean you consider them and discover the differences similarities beetween them. And when you say contrast something, it's to show that you are mentioning a very different situation from the one you have just mentioned.

Oh and these are the bonus-

Chain writing-Dan's story

Good morning!
Our class did a chain writing 4 or 5days ago,( I can't remember).
'A' write a sentence, then 'B' write another sentence below that, then 'C' write anothersentence...
This↑ is chain writing.
We wrote 15 stories, but the story ownes to the person who wrote the first sentence.
Well, this is my story below, and it's fun.

1. In new york city, there was a rabbit naned "Dan".He was FBI, but no one knew.
2. One day, when Dan was taking a work, he saw someone trying to steal a lady's purse. Dan took out his gun ;and tried to shoot the man.
3. But then he found out that the man was his father.
4. But it was his job to catsh the thief, so he shouted "STOP!!!" to his father.
5. His father was so suprised, he dropped the lady's purse and ran away.
6. Dan went home that night and asked his father.
7."Dad why did you do that, was it really you?"
8. Dad said "Don't care about my business and study harder. You last score was 0."
9. That;s right, Dan's('my' in original) father's job was a thief.
10. Dan's(My) dad always used to steal lady's purse and that's how our house is rich.
11. So Dan helped him.(Huh?)
12. His Dad stole Dan's purse(What the?) and ran away but, he bumped on a tree.
13. There was a another FBI and shoot him.
14. The another FBI was Brian the strong but he died accidently be cause he didn't have gun.(Wait, wasn't -13- said Brian 'shoot' Dan's dad? And, Brian is a boy in my class!)
15. Hoever he wasn't actually dead and became the 45th president of the USA.(Well, Brian wrote this.)

Isn't it so funny?

What the world eats?

Do you know 'What the World eats'? It's the photo essay of "TIMES".
This potho below are from here: http://www.time.com/time/photogallery/0,29307,1626519,00.html

Food Nutrition Eating Health Diet
This famillly is from Japan. there foods are similar with Koreans'. Well, there are the watermelon, rice, and ramyun...
But ramyun in this picture is not spicy at all. I ate it once long times ago, and I don't like it. It is so greasy. I was almost vomit afther eating THAT. Koreans like spicy things, but Japanese are not. Many Koreans who travel to Japan always want to eat some spicy thing. So, the staff of airplane that from Korea to Japan always give Koreans a Gothujang. Gothujang is a Korean traditional spicy seasoning.

Do you kow the natto, Japanese traditional food that made of bean? It smells like chunggukjang the Korean food. It mean it smells bad. But It's good for health. USA maggasine 'Health' said natto is in the healthiest food top 10. So many people eats natto for diet or staying health. Japanese are skinny then other people, maybe it's because of natto. And, they live longer then us. I wonder what if I eat that. I never eat natto before, but I like to eat some.

Can you see that desk? In the winter, Japanese cover that desk with a pillow, and it call 'cotachu.' It's really warm to stay in. they like to eat the tangerine inside the cotachu.(Below, cotachu picture.)

Well, I choose the CBA. Because for me, 3 weeks are enough. And I like CBA's activities, too. Many students in our class thought so, too. Therefore, the CBA was chosen.
